Kim McNair was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in the 1970's. As a teenager she had the looks of a runway model and worked to become successful in that field. She won Miss Teen Dynamic Beauty of Bergen County, NJ in 1980 and later pursed her career as a model in New York City by working for major agencies and clients. She also was featured in Diana Ross's (Working Overtime) music video. In 1989 Kim Left New Jersey and moved to Orlando,Florida seeking other opportunities as an entrepreneur.
In 1990, Kim founded McNAIR PRODUCTIONS, a multifaceted talent production company in Central Florida. Since then, the company has grown tremendously and has developed a reputation for promoting fashion shows and giving exposure to some of Orlando's brightest new faces and to be an opening door to much untapped talent in this area and showcasing upcoming designers.
McNAIR Productions has produced sell-out fashion shows such as: "A Night of Elegance", "A Dynamic Explosion in Fashion", "Fashion with Flair", "Paris on Stage", and " Fashion Illusion" which left crowds mesmerized by the production. In 1992 McNAIR Productions organized a Model of the Year Competition which featured Miss America 1991, Marjorie Vincent. In 1995 National Models Inq. Conference w/ Super model Beverly Johnson, Fashion Illusion 2000 "The Next Millennium" hosted by Model/Actress and former Miss USA Kenya Moore.
In 1993, Kim was selected to be the casting director for NBA basketball star Shaquille O'Neal's "Shoot, Pass, Slam" music video and appeared with the models in the hit movie "Passenger 57" starring Wesley Snipes. In 1994, Kim formed a modeling troop called the McNAIR MODELS and went on tour sponsored by One-AL, Inc. Later that year, Kim joined forces with Wayne Freeman to produce, coordinate, and show direct Orlando's first Black Expo which she did for 3 yrs.
Currently Kim has taken McNAIR Productions to another level by doing more producing, event coordinating, and promotions. She has also formed the "Over 40 and Loving It Diva's" modeling group that has been showcased in Florida and the NY/NJ areas making a big impact on the mature, bold, and beautiful modeling scene. In the community Kim is a positive role model and has volunteered with the youth in Orlando building self-esteem through the craft of modeling. She has been seen on Orlando's Channel 2(WESH) w/ Lisa Meyers-Rayam, "Vibrations" w/ Lynn Thompson, Fox (WOFL), "IMPACT" w/ Carol Fennell, and TV 18 (WKFC) w/ Tracy Moore.
Kim McNair has now expanded her company to serve more of the southeast states, she has relocated her main office to Atlanta, GA however, she still has her Orlando business to continue to service they city shes devoted to. Her list of corporate partners have expanded to: FreshPoint, Belks Dept. Stores, Enterprise Rental, Cox Communications, and Rosen Hotels & Resorts. Since Kim McNair has a passion for helping community incentive's she has also partnered with organization such as: My Sister~My Friend, Inc., Odessa Chambliss Quality Of Life Fund, The C.E.T.A. Foundation, Inc., Omega Si Phi Fraternity, and The BETA Center.
